Spacious, clean room.

This motel works for a quick stay if you need a budget option. The room had a microwave and a fridge, which came in handy for snacks. The bed was comfortable and the linens were clean. The location is convenient, as I could easily walk to nearby stores like Food Lion and Dairy Freeze. However, the overall decor feels dated. The wood paneling made the room quite dark, which was not ideal. Also, while everything seemed clean, the towels were thin and rough. The door's secondary latch was broken, prompting me to wedge a chair under the handle for added security. Free Wi-Fi was a plus, working well throughout my stay.

The motel has a wonderfully nostalgic vibe, with friendly management and clean rooms that made our stay enjoyable. The outdoor sitting area was perfect for relaxing under the stars.

The decor felt outdated, with dark wood paneling that made the room dim and a few maintenance needs, like the bathroom fixtures, that would benefit from minor upgrades.

The manager kindly recommended a fantastic nearby restaurant, enhancing our dining experience. We also enjoyed the charming outdoor seating, where we gathered with friends under the stars, making for a memorable evening.

Overall vibe feels outdated, dark paneling makes for poor lighting!!! Bathroom fixtures look like they belong in a museum, and the door locking mechanism needs a serious upgrade!!! Consider a fresh coat of paint too!!!

While the decor was outdated and the room a bit dim due to the wood paneling, it was clean enough for a quick night. Amazing place with great amenities like wifi, free parking, air conditioning, and a tv. The staff helped return documents I left behind during my first stay, which I really appreciated. I’m coming back for Easter!

i had a nice stay at the washington & lee motel. the king room was cleaner than i expected, and it was conveniently located near historical sites. the friendly management really added to the experience. i appreciated having a fridge and microwave in the room for snacks.
